Hi; to every visitor and
Fila-fan!
-We are a
family in Belgium who held Dobermann Pinschers for 15
Years.
From the five one’s we
kept,only two of them where good
quality.
One of them,a big strong male
called “Bas” whas an acceptional specimen!
He died at 14year’s of age
….
-Because it
was impossible to find Dobers from the same quality of
him;
whe search for another breed
that could offer us what whe expect in and
from a dog
!! So when Bas whas becoming of age,we started to take info
about Fila
Brasileiro’s.
-The
character especially,but also the appearance of this “special” dog
interested us .
-So one day
we take the decision to buy a female(Deusa) ,to companion
our old friend Bas. Immediately
we fall in love !! So one year later a
male
Fila (Tigre) came into our
life!
-We decided
to import our dogs,because the quality from the breeders
overhere,wasn’t so good as we expected ….!!!!!! The most of them
had not
100% pure Fila’s but mixbreed
Fila’s. In our search to find the
“real,authentic
Fila’s” we where both surprised to read and now that the
noble
Fila-breed exist out 70 to 80% mixbreed and 20 to 30% pure
authentic
Fila’s !!! Damn ;what a shame!!!!!
-So it is to
us responsible owners to try to keep the breed pure, and
not
bred with pure & not pure
together ! But i realize that the most of the
people
don’t mind…… we can only
hope!!!!!
++++++ Is a Fila the right
breed for you ?

-My personal
(!) opinion is that if you have the experience and knowledge
to
handle big
and strong dogs,and considering the special & unique
characteristics of the Fila Brasileiro’s ; you can make a chance to be
an owner.
-Then comes
the other question; will you be a responsible owner?
Because you have to handle
safety measurements!! You must alway’s keep
in
mind that a
Fila can react very fast to anyone that is not a member of his
family!
He will make no difference if
it goes about a burgler,neighbours or friends
!!
So it is up to the Fila’s
owner,alway’s to make sure that he or she can
avoid
biting
incidents!!!! Exept if it comes to defend you ofcourse!! Then your Fila
will not let you down….!!! Your
Fila will alway’s show a great dislike
towards
strangers,and can react in a aggressive way!! Make sure that you
keep this in
mind every time!!! And please; take never the risk to
leave your
Fila behind together,with for
example visitors…,not even for a short
period
of time!!!
Be responsible every day ; and every time at any place!!!!
